Product Domain Specialist – DAF/PME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Become the primary resource for CFO/SME requirements at Pennylane

• Ensure our product effectively addresses the genuine business challenges faced by this customer segment

• Influence product decisions across all relevant areas

• Conduct interviews with CFOs to enhance understanding of their business needs

• Map the financial workflows of SMEs as they currently operate

• Analyze feedback from the field with an expert viewpoint

• Participate in user testing to identify friction points in business processes

• Join product committees to voice the concerns of CFOs

• Assist PMs in prioritizing initiatives based on significant impact for Large SMEs

• Monitor changes in regulations that affect CFOs

• Analyze the actual usage of competitive solutions (Sage, Cegid, SAP)

• Anticipate emerging trends within the finance functions for SMEs

• Train Product and Sales teams on CFO-related processes

• Provide Marketing with tangible field use cases

• Participate in demonstrations for strategic clients

• Influence the medium- to long-term business vision for the Large SME roadmap

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in financial management software/ERP/accounting software

• In-depth knowledge of CFO processes (accounting, reporting, consolidation, treasury, taxation) and the challenges encountered by SMEs with 15–500 employees

• Proficiency with market tools such as Sage, Cegid, SAP Business One, or similar

• Experience in Product Management: capable of converting business needs into product specifications

• Ability to influence without formal authority: credibility built through expertise

• Experience in matrixed/cross-functional settings: collaborating with multiple teams

• Strong teaching skills: ability to simplify complex business concepts

• Pragmatic approach: differentiate between essential and secondary tasks and prioritize accordingly

• Curiosity: a desire to understand the underlying reasons behind every customer request

• Collaboration: work across functions with PM/PMM/Sales/Marketing teams

• Proactivity: anticipate requirements rather than merely responding to them
