This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +2 more states.
• Drives the profitable growth strategy of EMC within the assigned territory by collaborating with regional leaders to create and implement both short- and long-term business plans.
• Directs and executes effective agency growth strategies while developing and promoting production efforts for desirable new business growth and business retention.
• Cultivates relationships with key trading partners, leads joint planning initiatives, and fosters strong partnerships.
• Oversees a team of Territory Management Consultants to enhance internal and external collaboration and communication.
• Conducts agency visits and presentations to strengthen profitable relationships and improve underperforming agencies.
• Develops strategies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to support One EMC and align with corporate office directives and other EMC regional offices.
• Ensures adherence to company guidelines and procedures throughout the territory.
• Manages complex or escalated agency relationships, pursuing collaborative solutions and addressing arising issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• A minimum of ten years of underwriting or sales/marketing experience in the property and casualty insurance industry or a related field.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC are preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry, including independent agency operations, market conditions, and competitive insights.
• Advanced understanding of marketing and sales strategies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate the team effectively.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation delivery.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including effective conflict management and resolution skills.
• Outstanding organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
