This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Generate leads and conduct outreach within school districts, charter and private schools, as well as state education agencies for the Central Region.
• Build and oversee a strong pipeline focused on special education departments, student support services, and district technology offices.
• Navigate public sector procurement processes, including requests for proposals (RFPs), pilot programs, and purchases funded by grants.
• Serve as a functional lead by educating and onboarding team members on the intricacies of the education sales cycle, including navigating district-level RFP processes, aligning solutions with federal/state funding (e.g., IDEA, Title I), and addressing student data privacy requirements.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from initial outreach through to closing, which includes achieving consensus among multiple stakeholders typical in district-level decisions.
• Conduct discovery sessions to comprehend IEP goals, classroom workflows, and criteria for district technology adoption.
• Position Floreo's platform in context relevant to special education outcomes, compliance standards, and the workflows of educators.
• Own the customer relationship lifecycle and identify opportunities for expansion across different buildings, grade levels, and district-wide implementations.
• Ensure that districts and schools achieve measurable outcomes for neurodiverse students to facilitate renewal and expansion efforts.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and clinical teams to align education sales strategies with Floreo's broader commercialization initiatives.
• Actively engage in a team-based selling approach — sharing market insights, supporting colleagues, and promoting a culture of accountability.
• Accurately track all sales activities, pipeline stages, and forecasts in the CRM system.
• Provide regular updates to the VP of Sales on territory performance, procurement cycles, and market trends.
• 5–10+ years of sales experience in EdTech, special education technology, or relevant roles within the education sector.
• Proven track record of successful sales in K–12 school districts, state education agencies, or charter/private school networks.
• Strong knowledge of special education funding mechanisms, including IDEA Part B and grant-based purchasing.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and the multi-stakeholder decision-making landscape in public education.
• Experience in navigating public sector procurement, including RFPs and pathways from pilot to purchase, is highly advantageous.
• A team-oriented attitude with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and adaptability in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
• Technologically adept and comfortable demonstrating products in-person or virtually using VR hardware, with the ability to quickly master new software platforms; confidently showcasing Floreo’s products to educators and administrators is crucial.
