This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Formulate and implement a coherent commercial strategy aimed at enhancing market presence and profitability in line with overall Business Unit objectives.
• Propel and assist the sales team in achieving established business targets, including volumes, revenues, profitability (by product and region), and working capital.
• Recognize budgetary discrepancies and outline specific actions to address them; proactively evaluate, manage, and communicate progress towards plans, including contingency strategies.
• Embrace and ensure the adoption of commercial excellence tools across the sales team to facilitate effective sales strategies and best practices.
• Guarantee accurate forecasting by the team and actively engage in the Demand Planning process within Integrated Business Planning (IBP) to sustain a dependable monthly sales forecast.
• Advocate for, support, and embody the core values of the Company: Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Integrity.
• Cultivate a high-performing sales organization by attracting top talent, nurturing a culture of accountability, and providing continuous coaching and professional growth opportunities.
• Establish clear objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Sales Team, track progress, and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent results delivery.
• Inspire and energize the team through effective communication, transparent decision-making, and acknowledgment of accomplishments.
• Spearhead organizational change initiatives to respond to market dynamics, ensuring agility and resilience within the team.
• Identify and seize new business opportunities, broaden the customer base, and launch new products to promote sustainable growth.
• Develop and utilize deep customer insights to guide marketing initiatives and direct technology development projects.
• Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring that strategic decisions align with market needs and foster long-term partnerships.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in a leadership role within Sales & Marketing of Specialty Chemical products is required.
• Fifteen years or more of experience is preferred.
• A strong track record and proven sales experience in the chemicals industry, along with knowledge of end-use applications.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Capability to build and sustain strong relationships with customers.

• Proficiency in planning and managing at both strategic and operational levels.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills across diverse cultures.

• Proficient in MS Office software, CRM, and planning tools (e.g., C4C, Salesforce, Arkieva).
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 60%.
• The ideal candidate will be based in Ohio and/or the Eastern half of the United States, within driving distance of a major airport.
