Sales Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Manages the daily operations of the designated sales team to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved.

• Establishes account lists and organizes sales territories.

• Ensures that strategic account plans are formulated and executed for key accounts within the region.

• Monitors all sales activities within the team to guarantee consistent account management performance, meeting established goals and objectives.

• Reviews all ongoing projects, including invoicing, project milestones, and performance to ensure the optimization of sales efforts and fulfillment of quarterly performance targets.

• Achieves sales and marketing objectives by collaborating effectively with both internal and external partners.

• Builds and sustains client relationships within the customer base through meetings with customers, manufacturers, and vendors to enhance the Presidio business and establish us as the preferred partner.

• Provides assistance and guidance on RFPs to the sales and engineering teams.

• Approves expense reports for direct reports, adhering to specified budgets and company policies and procedures.

• Engages with vendors at a strategic level to plan, manage, and assess annual growth objectives for both parties.

• Regularly communicates with vendor partners to ensure plan objectives are met and formulates go-to-market strategies.

• Cultivates effective relationships with multiple vendors to enhance business growth.

• Ensures the sales team is well-trained on key partner solutions and retains relevant certifications.

• Implements sales strategy by identifying customer needs and offering appropriate Presidio services.

• Develops business through various marketing and sales techniques, including but not limited to cold calling, face-to-face meetings, and partnerships with vendors or manufacturers.

• Maintains a targeted understanding of customers' businesses, demonstrating the ability to identify customer needs and buying cycles while building strong relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business.

• Capable of creating a strategic plan with the customer's executive staff to add value to their business and develop a sales plan that meets the needs of both the customer and Presidio.

• Achieves or exceeds annual sales top-line revenue and margin goals as set by management.

• Manages individual sales objectives, including sales orders and billing activities, to support quarterly goals.

• Oversees ongoing customer account maintenance, including updating account information in internal systems and resolving customer satisfaction issues.

• Collaborates with the inside sales team to ensure quotes are provided and order requests are processed accurately.

• Works with the engineering team to accurately define project scopes.

• Maintains relationships with all levels of customer contacts, focusing on executive-level (Director and above) relationships.

• Manages overdue invoice resolutions with accounting to ensure proper collections.

• Ensures that each team member completes their Career Development Plan and reviews it quarterly at a minimum.

• Educates the team on sales, technical, and business acumen to better meet customer needs.

• Mentors and motivates sales team members to ensure satisfactory performance.

• Ensures training and development on reporting and metrics management, internal systems, and processes to improve the accuracy of sales forecasts and operations.

• Continuously drives recruiting initiatives and leads interviewing efforts to maintain a consistent pool of candidates, selecting the most qualified sales candidates.

• Manages and instructs the team on account mapping, marketing, planning, and execution to further enhance go-to-market strategies.

• Reviews and completes annual performance appraisals for direct reports in line with policy and procedures.

• Monitors staff development objectives, including sales training and certifications, to ensure Presidio retains a qualified sales team.

• Provides accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts and manages individual and team pipelines at all stages to ensure goals and objectives are met.

• Understands market trends and trains internal and external partners on business opportunities.

• Conducts weekly sales commitment calls to ensure effective strategies are implemented.

• Reviews company, territory, regional, and individual progress updates with team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience.

• 5-10 years of experience in IT outside sales leadership with a proven track record of exceeding quotas and managing a team.

• Previous experience in the market.

• Established relationships with vendor partners and customers.
