This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead, develop, and enhance a high-performing sales team dedicated to achieving sustainable and profitable growth across key customer accounts throughout Canada.
• Supervise a team of Account Managers tasked with fostering strategic partnerships and managing intricate customer relationships within the food, beverage, and ingredient sectors.
• Formulate and execute a national sales strategy that bolsters revenue growth, customer retention, market expansion, and profitability goals.
• Design and implement strategic account plans, optimize customer engagement, manage sales forecasting and pipeline development, oversee budgeting and expense management, and ensure alignment with the organization’s overarching growth strategy.
• Mentor and develop your team to engage customers at the highest strategic levels, identify new business opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions that generate long-term value for both customers and the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years of progressive sales experience.
• Strong change agent sales leadership experience at the first or second line.
• Experience with strategic accounts in the Food, Beverage, and Ingredients industries.
• Preferred working knowledge of strategic customer bases, distribution models, and current competitive markets.
• In-depth knowledge of strategic account selection and segmentation practices, customer profile development, customer penetration strategies, strategic customer business planning, and sales best practices.
• Proficient in CRM adoption and usage, pipeline development and progression, and business planning/forecast acumen.
• Proven experience in building a highly engaged, collaborative team that prioritizes growth and customer satisfaction.
• Skilled in recruiting, selecting, managing, coaching, and developing high-potential sales professionals.
• Ability to manage under-performing sales professionals to enhance performance or facilitate their exit from the business.
