Sales Development Representative – Shipping & Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Identify and qualify end shippers and freight forwarders within the tri-state region.

• Perform lead generation and market research to discover qualified prospects.

• Build and nurture relationships with potential clients.

• Close sales opportunities as appropriate during the prospecting phase.

• Collaborate with the dispatcher to coordinate closed sales and bookings for fulfillment support.

• Assist in sustaining consistent truck utilization through effective lead generation and sales efforts.

• Achieve sales targets while adhering to necessary profit margins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated expert-level experience as a Sales Development Representative or in a comparable sales position.

• Required experience in lead generation and market research.

• Strong skills in prospecting and qualification.

• Proven track record of closing sales.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and manage the entire sales process from prospecting to booking.

• Preferred background in the shipping or logistics sector.

• Advantageous experience working with end shippers and freight forwarders.

• Solid understanding of sales performance, revenue generation, and profit margins.

• USB headset equipped with noise cancellation capabilities.

• Functional webcam.

• Computer with a minimum 1.8 GHz processor and at least 4GB of RAM.

• Primary internet service speed of no less than 25 Mbps cable connection.

• Backup internet service speed of at least 10 Mbps.

• Availability to work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
