Sales Development Representative, Public Sector

📋 Description

• Facilitate lead qualification and nurture relationships with Twilio.org’s designated account customers across sectors such as community & social services, healthcare, education, and the public sector.

• Assume responsibility for acquiring new customers and generating additional revenue while ensuring the utmost satisfaction among existing clients.

• Collaborate with customers to comprehend their business and technical needs. You will need to be well-versed in Twilio’s communications API platform capabilities to collaboratively design tailored solutions for their specific use cases.

• Continuously update Salesforce with new contacts for existing accounts.

• Work closely with various internal teams (Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support) to meet customer requirements, provide guidance on digital communication strategies, and assist customers in getting started on the Twilio platform.

• Take ownership in advancing deals, overcoming obstacles for our customers and internally, and identifying the best solutions for each customer, while also recommending process enhancements to benefit the entire team.

• Cultivate expertise in the social impact, nonprofit, and public sector markets to help prospective customers understand how others are utilizing Twilio’s platform to expand their reach and missions.

• Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to simplify complex technical and financial information.

• Demonstrate the ability to juggle competing priorities and manage multiple projects or deals simultaneously.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in lead generation within a technical SaaS/CPaaS environment, with a proven track record of high performance.

• A solid understanding (or a willingness to learn) of the cloud computing/communications business model, along with enthusiasm for selling to a technical audience while employing a solution-focused sales approach.

• A strong personal commitment to the social impact and public sector markets, with a desire to dedicate your career to creating positive change.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling the effortless simplification of complex technical and financial concepts.

• Experience in technical solutions selling, including successful closing, and a passion for collaborating with customers to resolve their challenges.

• High adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with comfort in navigating ambiguity and change.
