This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct outreach to U.S. federal agencies to uncover compliance and records management requirements.
• Facilitate Discovery Meetings and generate Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs) for Federal Account Executives.
• Inform prospects about Smarsh’s solutions for archiving, supervision, and digital communications governance.
• Carry out multi-channel outreach through phone, email, and professional social networks.
• Assess inbound leads and strategically focus on outbound federal accounts.
• Investigate accounts and customize messaging based on mission objectives, regulatory factors, and agency mandates.
• Keep precise records of activities, notes, and opportunity data in Salesforce.
• Provide assistance with support requests and case creation for Customer Success Managers to ensure prompt customer follow-up when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with Federal AEs, Marketing, and SDR leadership on targeted campaigns and account-based initiatives.
• Occasionally travel for federal industry events, conferences, and field engagement.
• Demonstrated history of achieving results.
• Motivation to be coached towards success.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written).
• Adaptable to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Abundant energy, enthusiasm, humor, and passion.
• Over 1 year of direct sales experience, ideally in a B2B setting, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com and LinkedIn is a plus.
