Sales Development Representative – Chemical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Perform outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, cold calls, and various sales channels.

• Identify key decision-makers within chemical manufacturing, industrial processing, engineering, and technical sectors.

• Assess inbound and outbound leads based on business requirements, budget, and compatibility.

• Arrange discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives.

• Keep precise records of activities, pipelines, and lead statuses within CRM systems.

• Investigate target companies and industry trends to tailor outreach campaigns.

• Work collaboratively with marketing and sales teams to enhance lead generation strategies.

• Foster strong relationships with potential clients and maintain professional communication throughout the sales process.

• Achieve or surpass KPIs pertaining to outreach activities, lead qualification, and scheduled meetings.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in Sales Development, Lead Generation, Business Development, or B2B Sales.

• Experience in selling to engineering, manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or technical industries is highly desirable.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Proficient with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.

• Capability to comprehend technical products and convey value propositions effectively.

• Demonstrated experience in outbound prospecting and cold outreach.

• Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic remote work environment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
