Sales Development Manager/Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop Runway’s foundational BDR team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on curiosity, experimentation, and ongoing improvement.

• Establish the systems, processes, and infrastructure that support a contemporary AI-driven sales development organization.

• Define the collaboration between AI tools, automation, and human creativity in outbound prospecting, research, personalization, and pipeline generation.

• Transform product usage signals, API activity, and inbound demand into scalable workflows for enterprise opportunity generation.

• Create highly targeted, vertical-specific outbound strategies aligned with Runway’s changing use cases and customer requirements.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance messaging, sequencing, workflows, and enablement programs to boost team performance.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Creative, and RevOps to develop ICP strategy, lead routing, and overall go-to-market execution.

• Partner with sales leadership to help define and expand Runway’s enterprise sales approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in sales, growth, or go-to-market leadership roles.

• Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing SDR/BDR teams.

• Strong systems-thinking perspective with a track record of building outbound processes and operational frameworks from the ground up.

• A profound interest in AI-driven workflows and a clear vision of how AI will transform modern prospecting and sales development.

• Experience working in product-led, usage-based, or highly technical go-to-market environments.

• Highly analytical and data-driven, capable of leveraging insights to guide strategy and execution.

• Comfortable navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enthusiastic about experimenting and iterating quickly.

• Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator with a builder mentality.
