This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Acts as a key partner and coach for our customer-owner’s top 1000 retail sellers to enhance their skills and competencies in selling.
• Responsibilities include conducting daily direct farm-gate calls in collaboration with the retail seller.
• Manages and develops business through a strategic plan and regular communication with assigned owners and internal teams, with a strong emphasis on STAMPS, seed, and services.
• Provides coaching and training to top retail sellers at the farm-gate regarding products, programs, services, and technologies.
• Employs pre-call planning tools and strategies.
• Documents all pertinent account information in the CRM software (Salesforce).
• Collaborates with top retail sellers by utilizing tools such as the Account Plan, Farmer by Farmer (FxF) Plan, and ACRE sprints.
• Evaluates and tracks progress against established plans.
• Coaches and conveys the total acre value proposition to the top 1,000 retailer sellers at the farm-gate level, covering brand ladder, partnered and proprietary brand strategies, programs, pricing, services, as well as digital technology and platforms.
• Assists the retail seller during Answer Plot and post-harvest meetings.
• Coordinates efforts with local manufacturer representatives.
• Executes the Account Plan in collaboration with retail sellers.
• Manages discretionary and insight trial seed.
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a business-related field from an accredited institution, along with 2 years of industry or direct sales experience; or a total of 7 years of successful work experience in the industry or direct sales as an equivalent.
• Ability to understand the "big picture" of the organization and the farmer’s operations.
• Proactive communicator with outstanding written, verbal, and formal presentation skills.
• Highly trustworthy with a strong personal commitment.
• Capable of coaching and mentoring others by proposing enhancements and driving change.
• Proficient in making sound decisions and completing tasks in a fast-paced work setting.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage productivity effectively.
• Experience showcasing adaptability and leading/adjusting quickly to changes.
• Technical expertise in agricultural products/crops and the ability to educate others on products, services, and programs.
• Extensive experience using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom); and CRM software (Salesforce).
