This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage recurring sales incentive and commission payment processes for designated plans.
• Gather, assess, and verify commission and incentive payment data provided by internal business partners.
• Compute, review, or audit incentive and commission payments in line with approved plan documents.
• Prepare payment files and accompanying documentation for submission to Payroll by set deadlines.
• Keep records and documentation that support payout calculations, reviews, and approvals.
• Confirm participant eligibility, performance metrics, quotas, achievements, and payout calculations against approved incentive plan criteria.
• Examine incentive and commission results for alignment with plan provisions, payment thresholds, and internal controls.
• Detect discrepancies, inconsistencies, and possible overpayments or underpayments prior to payroll submission.
• Conduct pre-processing audits of payment reports and related data to ensure accurate and compliant payouts.
• Investigate payment exceptions, discrepancies, and inquiries from employees or managers concerning incentive and commission payments.
• Follow up with data owners regarding any missing, incomplete, or incorrect information that affects payment calculations.
• Collaborate with Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Sales Operations, and business leaders to address payment-related challenges.
• Document resolutions for exceptions and suggest corrective actions to minimize recurring issues.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and control within sales compensation administration processes.
• Propose system automation, workflow improvements, and standardized operating procedures to decrease manual processing.
• Assist with testing system enhancements related to compensation, integrations, reports, and process changes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, job aids, and standard operating procedures.
• Support ad hoc projects or other responsibilities as assigned.
• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in compensation administration, payroll, finance, accounting, sales operations, or a similar analytical role.
• Familiarity with incentive compensation, commission processing, payroll administration, payment validation, or financial reconciliations is preferred.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, incentive compensation, or sales compensation systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a dedication to data accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including utilizing formulas, lookups, and data validation techniques.
• Capability to interpret and apply incentive plan provisions, eligibility guidelines, payment thresholds, and business rules.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight processing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Sales Operations, and business leadership.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive compensation and payroll data.
• Process improvement mindset with an interest in automation, standardization, and enhancing control.
