This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist the assigned Sales Executives/Representatives/Managers in their initiatives to expand the business.
• Collaborate with the manager to develop a sales strategy for the territory.
• Independently execute marketing and sales activities within academic and small biotech accounts.
• Organize vendor shows and lunch-and-learn sessions in academic and small biotech accounts as needed.
• Generate qualified leads through proactive outbound prospecting efforts.
• Follow up with new customers and respond to basic incoming price inquiries.
• Provide support to field representatives from the office, including retrieving data from internal systems such as customer relationship management (CRM/Salesforce) and project databases (CLIMS).
• Prepare necessary reports for territory and account management.
• Engage in lead generation and data entry within the CRM.
• Pursue a career path towards becoming a sales or marketing professional.
• Qualify marketing leads generated from trade shows, events, and campaigns.
• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences.
• 1-1.5 years of pertinent experience in Genomics or Synthetic Biology within a commercial role, demonstrating a successful track record in account management, surpassing targets, and driving revenue growth.
• Knowledge in Molecular Biology.
• Previous sales experience is preferred.
• Experience with CRM systems is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial.
• Capable of public speaking and engaging with customers confidently and comfortably.
• Willingness and ability to travel 3-5 days per month.
