This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.
• Manage a sales territory that includes pipeline development, territory planning, account planning, forecasting, achieving quotas, delivering technical sales presentations, prospecting, and managing short- and medium-term opportunities.
• Build access and sustain active relationships with key decision-makers across various industries, partners, and customers to facilitate all relevant aspects of sales strategy and goal achievement.
• Generate new non-direct opportunities by engaging with Small & Medium Solution & Integration partners within the territory.
• Identify, develop, and execute territory strategies to secure new business opportunities and enhance revenue with clients in the assigned region, both independently and collaboratively.
• Aim to connect with decision-makers in key prospective accounts throughout the designated territory.
• Collaborate with peers across various functions (including sales, channel, marketing, sales operations, sales engineering, services, customer support, and product management) to enhance visibility with target accounts and encourage engagement with target prospects at both individual and executive levels.
• Partner effectively with Integration and Distribution partners to utilize established account presence and relationships.
• Gather, maintain, and share accurate and relevant prospect data using Salesforce.com.
• Identify and recommend new partnerships (distributors, resellers, solution & integration partners) to increase NI market share and provide value to customers based on regional demands, working alongside the channel team for development and integration.
• Stay informed about local market trends to identify potential system and solution applications.
• Capable of moving (transferring in and out of vehicles and customer facilities), transporting, setting up, and dismantling hardware demo equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Able to operate demo hardware at customer sites, trade shows, and events as required.
• Must be willing to travel frequently within the assigned territory with demo equipment.
• Engage with academic communities to enhance sales and product adoption, fostering collaborations with key university contacts for teaching and research initiatives.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) are eligible for consideration.
• Previous experience as a (Field) Applications Engineer and/or Sales Account Manager or similar roles is advantageous.
• Experience in Test & Measurement is a plus.
