This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Take charge of the entire lifecycle of government opportunities: introduction → qualification → stakeholder navigation → closing → initial relationship management
• Be responsible for a revenue goal associated with finalizing Signed Design Partnerships (SDPs) and converting them into paid implementations
• Develop, oversee, and promote a pipeline of public sector opportunities from initial signals through to closure
• Transform warm inbound or network-driven prospects into Signed Design Partnerships (SDPs)
• Navigate intricate government purchasing processes across various agencies, departments, and stakeholders
• Propel progress in uncertain environments where there is interest but no defined owner
• Cultivate relationships across city and state agencies, mayoral offices, permitting/infrastructure departments, and broader public sector ecosystems
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to convert customer requirements into executable solutions
• Function as a hybrid role, acting as a seller (finalizing deals), operator (advancing initiatives without a defined structure), and initial account owner (sustaining momentum after closure)
• Over 4 years of experience in quota-carrying sales or partnerships
• Demonstrated success in closing complex deals involving multiple stakeholders
• Experience in selling to government or government-related sectors
• Capability to independently advance opportunities in ambiguous situations
• Familiarity with GovTech or public sector SaaS
• Experience as enterprise sellers engaging with SLED/public sector
• Background in startup sales navigating intricate buyer landscapes
• Leadership experience in partnerships with a focus on achieving commercial results
• Flexible work environment, with travel required for engagements with government partners and key stakeholders.
