This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving and supporting sales initiatives within a designated territory by executing sales and marketing strategies for GenScript's products and services.
• This role requires leveraging scientific knowledge and business acumen, including corporate relationships, to develop and implement profitable initiatives that enhance sales.
• Collaborate with the Global Commercial Head to formulate and execute sales strategies and tactics for products/services, targeting new markets and applications.
• Responsible for comprehending the customer’s research applications and aligning GenScript’s offerings with the specific requirements of their projects.
• Provide market insights to Sales, Technical Account Management (TAM), and Marketing teams through weekly feedback reports from the field.
• Introduce GenScript's offerings to new markets, including Industrial, Academic, and Government sectors.
• Promote business growth in partnership with the technical support team (TAM) and Field Application Scientists (FAS).
• Establish and expand a network of business references to facilitate the growth of new business opportunities.
• A Master’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline, particularly in the life sciences; or a Bachelor’s degree accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Required sales experience ranging from 1 to 5 years, alongside a strong technical and professional skill set.
• Familiarity with the Biological and CRO or CDMO market, or the broader biotech industry, with a focus on Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassays, Antibody, and Cell Line Products/Services preferred.
• Capability to operate efficiently in an international business context and achieve success in such an environment.
• Proficiency in accurately forecasting sales within the territory on a weekly basis.
