This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership and drive revenue and profitability for a portfolio of direct buying customer accounts.
• Establish robust, long-term relationships with customers as the primary commercial point of contact.
• Provide timely, high-quality account support that aligns with customer characterization and revenue thresholds.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience and collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions.
• Manage incoming leads from existing or new OEM/Tier1/Specifier accounts, offering advanced technical and regulatory support to convert leads into qualified opportunities.
• Spearhead business development initiatives to introduce new products, translating applications, and scaling production.
• Oversee price quotations and negotiations within predefined authority levels to optimize margins.
• Forecast and monitor account KPIs, including revenue, margin, ASP, and competitive positioning.
• Track customer usage against competitive products to uncover share-gain opportunities.
• Maintain precise CRM records, including meeting notes, pipeline activity, and account plans.
• Demonstrated experience as a Sales Account Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, or a similar commercial role.
• Background in the plastics industry or relevant experience.
• Strong skills in customer relationship management and negotiation.
• Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with CRM systems to oversee pipeline and account activities.
• Capability to work collaboratively across functions in a global, matrix organization.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with a preference for candidates who are members of a recognized commercial or sales institute.
