Sales Account Executive – Banking & Financial Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Drive the acquisition of new business within designated territories and banking sectors.

• Develop and oversee a robust commercial pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and established networks.

• Sell sponsorships, subscriptions, award programs, data/intelligence products, and commercial partnerships.

• Engage with MD-level and C-suite stakeholders across banks, fintech companies, and technology providers.

• Lead commercial negotiations, proposal creation, discussions, and contract finalization.

• Expand and manage existing strategic accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, research, and product teams on commercial strategies and market opportunities.

• Ensure precise forecasting, maintain CRM hygiene, and provide accurate pipeline reporting.

• Represent the organization at global conferences, banking events, roundtables, and client engagements.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5–8+ years of experience in B2B sales, enterprise sales, sponsorship sales, or business development.

• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Banking, Fintech, Financial media, Data/intelligence platforms, Banking technology, Conferences/events, and SaaS/platform sales.

• Proven track record of acquiring new logos and driving revenue growth.

• Strong background in managing complete sales cycles from prospecting to closure.

• Comfortable engaging with senior banking stakeholders and decision-makers in commercial sectors.

• An existing network in banking, fintech, or financial services is highly desirable.

• Experience in financial media, awards, sponsorship, or conference sales is a plus.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management practices.

• Highly self-motivated and capable of operating across international markets and time zones.
