Sage X3 Functional Consultant, Manufacturing and Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, develop, and deploy effective information and operational systems for clients.

• Analyze client business processes and functional requirements thoroughly.

• Create documentation to convey and validate business and functional information.

• Evaluate data and assess application products to suggest efficient and cost-effective solutions.

• Record functional requirements, workflows, and system specifications meticulously.

• Identify integration points within systems and provide recommendations.

• Complete project deliverables within specified timelines and budget constraints.

• Ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed client expectations.

• Assist clients during system testing and product acceptance stages.

• Collaborate with sales on estimates, proposals, demonstrations, and pre-sales inquiries.

• Oversee and maintain existing client relationships and product installations.

• Address client inquiries, resolve issues, generate reports, and perform upgrades.

• Advocate for value billing and efficiency in service delivery.

• Cultivate expertise in Sage X3 and act as an escalation point for implementation challenges.

• Conduct gap analysis and recommend customizations, third-party products, process modifications, or industry best practices.

• Complete necessary training and development on product versions, updates, and changes.

• Maintain current technical and industry knowledge and keep abreast of industry trends.

• Share insights with peers, managers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Elevate critical issues and propose process enhancements.

• Foster positive relationships and ensure effective communication and client satisfaction.

• Engage in client interactions to share knowledge and enhance customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, quality assurance, or equivalent work experience is required.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sage X3 ERP implementation or similar ERP solutions (Epicor, Infor, Syspro, Chempax, Workday, ProcessPRO, MS Dynamics).

• Proven experience in implementing ERP solutions in the Distribution Manufacturing sector.

• Familiarity with Bills of Materials, scheduling, shipping, EDI integrations, etc.

• A consulting background with a proven record of delivering complex software solutions within established timelines and budgets.

• Strong business acumen and understanding of business needs.

• Capability to ensure that technical solutions, strategies, and practices deliver business and customer value.

• Experience in translating business requirements into solution specifications.

• Proficiency in leading requirements definition and design sessions through interviews, surveys, user workshops, product/prototype demonstrations, etc.

• A successful track record of achieving agreed-upon business objectives and performance on key metrics.

• Ability to document business and technical designs effectively.

• Strong prioritization and task execution skills in a high-pressure environment.

• Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage a strategic external industry network.

• Willingness to travel at least 50% to client locations across the US.
