Sage Intacct Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Lead the comprehensive design process for Sage Intacct prospects and clients, covering areas such as job costing, project management, billing, and financial reporting.

• Define and document future-state system architectures, which include data flows, integrations, security considerations, and scalability requirements.

• Assess and recommend third-party platforms (e.g., Procore, BuildOps, ServiceTitan) and integration patterns that improve client results while ensuring long-term system integrity.

• Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for Accordant’s solutions, ensuring consistency and supportability across various engagements.

• Collaborate with Sales to assist in pre-sales discovery, solution validation, and scope definition, ensuring that proposed solutions are feasible, well-architected, and aligned with client goals.

• Convert business requirements into clear solution narratives, aiding clients in understanding trade-offs, risks, and the long-term implications of design decisions.

• Contribute to the formulation of implementation strategies, including fixed-price and phased delivery models, by defining assumptions, dependencies, and architectural guidelines.

• Act as a senior technical authority in client discussions, fostering confidence and credibility with executive and operational stakeholders.

• Provide architectural oversight throughout implementations, ensuring that delivery teams comply with approved designs and report risks or deviations promptly.

• Partner with Consulting and Development teams to tackle complex functional or technical issues, such as integrations, data migration, and performance enhancement.

• Assist in the transition from implementation to managed services by ensuring that solutions are well-documented, supportable, and compliant with MSP standards.

• Design and manage integrations between Sage Intacct and third-party technologies, balancing real-time requirements, data accuracy, and maintainability.

• Stay updated on developments in the Sage platform roadmap and partner ecosystem capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance Accordant’s offerings.

• Analyze trends across client engagements to pinpoint opportunities for repeatable solutions, accelerators, and packaged offerings.

• Contribute to the advancement of Accordant’s delivery frameworks, architectural playbooks, and internal training materials.

• Serve as a mentor and escalation resource for consultants and analysts, enhancing the overall architectural maturity of the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in ERP consulting or solution architecture, with substantial exposure to Sage Intacct or similar ERP platforms.

• Profound understanding of financial and operational workflows, encompassing job cost accounting, WIP, progress billing, change management, and reporting.

• Proven experience in designing multi-system solutions, including ERP, project management, and field service platforms.

• Strong capability to translate intricate business requirements into clear, practical system architectures.

• Demonstrated client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence executive, financial, and operational stakeholders.

• Practical experience with Procore, BuildOps, ServiceTitan, or comparable platforms.

• Experience in supporting pre-sales initiatives, including solution validation, scope definition, and risk assessment.

• Familiarity with fixed-price implementation models and managed service offerings within a professional services setting.

• Exposure to integration tools, APIs, and data architecture concepts pertinent to ERP ecosystems.
