Sage Intacct PPS Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Deliver daily functional assistance to clients located in the US utilizing Sage Intacct.

• Address issues, process enhancement requests, and enhance system configurations.

• Diagnose functional challenges across various Sage Intacct modules.

• Facilitate improvements in Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Month-End Close workflows.

• Work collaboratively with US-based consultants and client stakeholders during overlapping business hours.

• Manage support tickets and enhancement requests efficiently.

• Prepare progress reports and escalate issues or risks to project managers as necessary.

• Engage in team meetings, client discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Assist with data analysis, import/export formatting, testing, and documentation tasks.

• Identify recurring support challenges and suggest configuration or process improvements.

• Keep documentation of support activities, configurations, and resolutions up to date.

• Utilize AI-driven tools and automation to enhance workflows.

• Remain informed about AI advancements pertinent to finance and ERP systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of practical experience in supporting or implementing Sage Intacct within a consulting, advisory, or client-services context.

• Strong proficiency in Sage Intacct modules, including General Ledger, AP/AR, Billing, Procurement, Expenses, and Revenue Recognition.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles such as Chart of Accounts, Journal Entries, Trial Balance, and Intercompany transactions.

• Experience working with remote, cross-functional teams and US-based stakeholders across various time zones.

• Excellent spoken and written English communication abilities.

• Proficient in analyzing and formatting data for Sage Intacct imports and exports.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to embrace emerging technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Experience with project coordination tools, ticketing systems, and remote collaboration software such as Jira, Salesforce, and Microsoft Teams.

• Availability for partial overlap with US Eastern or Central time zones.

• Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist certification is highly desirable.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent accounting designation is an advantage.
