• Perform safety inspections, audits, and GEMBA walks at customer locations throughout Europe.
• Assist in the creation, execution, and standardization of safety programs in accordance with Packsize’s global safety standards while considering regional regulatory obligations.
• Act as a subject matter expert on European health and safety regulations, customer needs, and compliance expectations specific to each country.
• Guide and mentor Field Service Engineers in safe work practices, including LOTO, machine safety, working at heights, electrical safety, and material handling.
• Lead or assist in investigations of incidents and near misses, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented and resolved.
• Create and maintain task-specific risk assessments, RAMS/JHAs, and standardized safe work procedures (SOPs) for field service operations.
• Serve as the regional liaison for the VelocityEHS safety management system, ensuring prompt reporting of incidents, hazards, inspections, and corrective measures.
• Collaborate with German Works Councils and other regional advisory groups on safety-related matters, initiatives, and compliance requirements.
• Work alongside customers and internal leaders to fulfill site safety expectations and drive continuous improvement in operational safety performance.
• Assist with contractor management by partnering with internal stakeholders to gather and uphold necessary health and safety documentation and customer compliance records.
• Keep abreast of emerging European safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure Packsize remains compliant and proactive across the region.
• Proficient in English and German (both written and verbal).
• Over 3 years of experience in EHS or safety in support of field service, manufacturing, or multi-site operations across Europe.
• Comprehensive knowledge of European health and safety regulations and country-specific compliance frameworks, especially in Germany and neighboring regions.
• Capability to work independently in a remote setting while supporting various countries, cultures, and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk mitigation, contractor safety, and incident investigation techniques.
• Ability to influence, coach, and develop relationships without direct authority.
• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively across Europe (50–75%).
