This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Perform intricate risk assessments on insured properties and their operations.

• Offer comprehensive physical and operational insights to aid in underwriting decisions.

• Recognize potential risk exposures and develop strategic recommendations to alleviate identified risks.

• Examine loss data to uncover trends and implement customized loss prevention initiatives.

• Provide expert technical guidance and conduct training for clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.

• Present joint marketing initiatives alongside underwriting, claims, and sales teams to accounts and agents.

• Mentor staff as assigned.

• Execute additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Generally, a minimum of 9 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or a related field within the property and casualty insurance sector.

• Completion of or ongoing progress toward a professional designation is preferred, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).

• Superior analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities.

• In-depth knowledge of company policies as well as industry laws and regulations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Results-driven consultative skills.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to utilize data for situation analysis, problem identification, and effective solution development.

• Regular travel is necessary.

• Capability to perform on-site risk assessments and service policyholders across Maryland and Northern Virginia.
