S3D Electrical Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• ReVisionz is actively seeking skilled Smart 3D Electrical Designers to assist with a nuclear project in the U.S.

• The position entails transforming existing Revit Electrical models into Smart 3D. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed 3D models of electrical systems under the supervision of electrical engineering. Typical tasks include placing electrical equipment, routing cable trays, conduits, duct banks, and cables, generating drawings and material take-offs, and coordinating with structural, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and construction teams to avoid clashes and ensure safe installation, access, and maintenance. Given the nature of the work supporting a nuclear facility, the designer must adhere to stringent design standards, quality assurance procedures, and configuration management controls to ensure that model data, drawings, and the physical plant remain accurate, consistent, and fully traceable through design modifications and as-built updates.

• The initial project duration is anticipated to be over 4 months. While we hope for project continuation, an extension cannot be guaranteed.

⛳️ Requirements

• To be eligible for consideration, candidates must fulfill all of the following criteria:

• 1. Possess strong and recent expertise in Smart 3D Electrical Design, encompassing both modeling and drawing production, utilized within the last three years in an industrial, EPC, owner/operator, oil and gas, chemical, energy, or process industry setting.

• 2. Must be a resident and citizen of Canada or the U.S.

• 3. Candidates holding citizenship from other countries must be listed in Appendix A to Part 810, Title 10 Generally Authorized Destinations to qualify: (https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-10/chapter-III/part-810/appendix-Appendix%20A%20to%20Part%20810)

• 4. Must successfully pass a 5-panel drug and alcohol test, as well as a NATO security/background check.

• 5. Willingness to complete a S3D skills assessment following a successful interview.

• Additional Requirements:

• - A 13” Dell laptop will be provided by our client. You will be accountable for any supplementary equipment (webcam, keyboard, mouse, KVM switch, docking station, monitors).

• - As this role is entirely remote, a reliable internet connection of at least 100 Mb/s is necessary.

• - Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
