MEP Engineer/Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with project teams

• Developing technical drawings

• Performing site visits

• Ensuring adherence to industry regulations

• Regularly reviewing the project schedule throughout the design phase

• Participating in lunch-and-learn sessions and lessons learned workshops for knowledge sharing

• Coordinating MEP plans with Architectural, Structural, and Civil trades when necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of design experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

• Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit

• Experience in the design of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems

• Familiarity with building codes and regulations

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Experience with new construction and renovation projects, including commercial buildings, residential apartments, schools, sports facilities, and healthcare centers.

• Familiarity with Design Master Software is a plus.

• Working knowledge of plans, specifications, and schematics relevant to the trade.

• Proficient in HVAC load calculations and duct design for commercial and/or residential projects.

• The MEP Engineer is expected to prepare plans and details according to the firm's MEP Process and Procedures.

• The MEP Designer should offer technical guidance to staff designers, supervisors, inspectors, and clients.

• Capability to conduct field assessments and as-builts of existing MEP systems in advance of project deliverables.

• Conducting peer reviews and QA/QC evaluations of plans prior to client submission.

• Solid experience in addressing submittals and RFIs.
