This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +1 more state.
• Assist the principal AV designer.
• Conduct equipment research and liaise with manufacturers.
• Provide studies on audio and projection.
• Convert designer mark-ups into project design documentation.
• Create design documents.
• Develop equipment plans.
• Detail elevations and drawings.
• Create control diagrams.
• Prepare schedules, reports, and specification packages.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare necessary agendas and notes.
• Execute QAQC on all client deliverables.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings as necessary (approximately 25%).
• Pursue ongoing professional development in emerging technologies.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Experience in Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification.
• Proficient in either Vectorworks or AutoCAD, with a background in 3D design.
• Familiarity with theatrical AV design principles.
• Knowledge of architectural and facility requirements, including the integration of lighting equipment into attractions, museums, or live events.
• Comprehension of the creative process.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical schematics.
• Over 3 years of experience in AV and show design.
• Capability to meet a project’s defined scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong understanding of current technologies and industry standards related to AV design, particularly for live shows and facility infrastructure systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite applications.
• Excellent communication skills; highly motivated; able to take direction effectively.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
