This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Rust.
β’ Create and oversee APIs and microservices.
β’ Integrate new services with current systems and platforms.
β’ Enhance performance across distributed architectures.
β’ Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to convert business requirements into effective technical solutions.
β’ Engage in code reviews and assist in refining engineering standards and best practices.
β’ Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
β’ Diagnose and resolve production issues.
β’ Enhance observability, monitoring, and internal engineering tools.
β’ Stay updated with developments, best practices, and advancements in the Rust ecosystem.
β’ Strong expertise in Rust programming, including concepts such as ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and asynchronous programming (e.g., Tokio, async/await).
β’ Experience in building backend services and APIs, preferably using Rust-based frameworks (Actix, Axum, Rocket) and microservice architectures.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of systems programming principles including memory management, concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization.
β’ Practical experience with databases and data storage (SQL/NoSQL, schema design, query optimization) along with messaging/streaming systems is a plus.
β’ Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) for service deployment and operations.
β’ Familiarity with modern software development methodologies, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools.
β’ Ability to collaborate closely with product, data, and AI teams to integrate Rust services into larger systems and translate requirements into technical designs.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities with effective written and verbal communication skills.
