This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies, standards, tools, and best practices across the agency.
• Provide essential supply chain insights for proposal development, including Supply Chain Management (SCM) Plans, Commodity Calculators, Procurement Plans, and additional proposal components.
• Contribute to innovative digital supply chain solutions that enhance speed, accountability, and integrity.
• Represent CRS at regional planning and coordination meetings and forums as necessary.
• Foster relationships with donors, peer organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Offer support to country programs by taking on roles such as Acting Supply Chain Manager, Acting Operations Manager, or equivalent positions.
• Assist with filling vacancies, initiating new projects, and responding to emergency situations.
• Collaborate with country operations and programming leaders to enhance logistics, procurement, warehousing, and fleet management systems.
• Ensure the effective utilization of ERP systems like Oracle for planning, execution, and reporting purposes.
• Advocate for the use of supply chain metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement, informed decision-making, and accountability.
• Contribute to knowledge management, learning initiatives, capacity-building efforts, workshops, conferences, and mentoring of staff.
• Aid countries in addressing audit findings and executing necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, CRS policies, and international standards.
• Report directly to the GSCM Director.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in international supply chain, logistics, or procurement.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and information management systems.
• Strong understanding of general procurement and trading policies, international import/export legislation, and customs regulations.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Commodity Accountability Principles (GACAP).
• Technical expertise in warehouse operations and inventory control, including FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, root-cause analysis, ABC analysis, batch/lot and expiry management, warehouse layout and space utilization, and loss/shrinkage prevention.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation, and training, applying adult learning principles and practices.
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence individuals not directly supervised.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including proficiency in Outlook and Teams.
• Strategic thinking, analytical, organizational, and systems thinking capabilities.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the location where the position is based is required.
• Expatriate roles or positions that necessitate frequent travel outside the home country will require pre-employment medical clearance.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, professional certifications such as CIPS or APICS, and experience managing Global Fund, USG food aid, or other large-scale donor programs.
• Fluency in Arabic is strongly preferred; proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus.
