This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and sustain the project procurement execution plan, ensuring procurement milestones, supplier lead times, and logistics activities align with the project master schedule and delivery goals.
• Develop and uphold a consolidated procurement roadmap across the BTM portfolio to ensure resource alignment and the sequencing of key procurement activities.
• Take ownership of the quality, negotiated costs, and timely delivery of project materials and services.
• Share responsibility for the Engineering Procurement Plan where necessary.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Sourcing to guarantee the prompt delivery of supplier documents, including drawings and quotations.
• Manage and oversee the material budget.
• Establish the procurement schedule and periodically monitor its progress.
• Ensure that procurement execution adheres to the project procurement execution plan.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks that could impact critical project equipment and implement strategies for mitigation.
• Follow up on the timely resolution of supplier-related Non-Conformance Reports (NCPs).
• Assist Sourcing in acquiring technical specifications from Engineering in a timely manner.
• Engage in or initiate regular project meetings with Quality, Lead Engineering, Planning, Logistics, Project Engineering Manager, and other relevant functions; generate and track meeting action items.
• Assess supplier compliance with contractual customs and duties requirements alongside pertinent functions.
• Oversee supplier claim management in collaboration with the Commodity Leader/Buyer.
• Provide monthly reports on progress, supplier claims, and project cost summaries.
• Update suppliers’ cash out and project milestone recognition related to procurement activities.
• Represent the Procurement team in internal and external project meetings as applicable.
• Support adherence to Quality and EHS regulations relevant to the sourcing function.
• Assist the PPTL in achieving overall project objectives and ensure alignment in efforts.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in a high voltage electrical construction project environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 40% of the time.
• Must adhere to all relevant company travel and tax regulations.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include overtime as needed.
• Experience in roles such as Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, Senior Purchasing Manager, Senior Sourcing Manager, or Sales Project Manager.
• Strong understanding of the legal and contractual aspects of an EPC contract.
• Knowledge of risk management principles.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Proficient negotiation skills with either suppliers or customers.
• General knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management.
• Capacity to mentor and develop team members.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently address issues with challenging suppliers.
• Basic understanding of scheduling and planning for large and complex projects.
• Technical knowledge of purchased products and familiarity with power plants.
