This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Design and enhance Goods-to-Person warehouse solutions, which encompass AS/RS, shuttle systems, robotic storage, conveyors, and order fulfillment technologies.
• Evaluate customer operational data to create warehouse layouts, system sizing, and recommendations for future automation states.
• Develop functional specifications, process flows, and documentation for implementation.
• Assist in system simulations and throughput modeling.
• Configure, support, and improve Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Work collaboratively with software developers to integrate automation equipment with enterprise systems.
• Aid in API integrations, database validation, and software testing.
• Resolve software and automation issues during the implementation and production support phases.
• Create dashboards, KPIs, and operational reports to assess warehouse performance.
• Construct data validation and analytics workflows that enhance customer data quality.
• Examine inventory movement, order profiles, storage utilization, and productivity metrics.
• Support demand planning and scenario modeling for anticipated warehouse expansion.
• Assist with equipment commissioning and customer go-lives.
• Conduct system testing and validation before deployment.
• Provide customer training and operational assistance during implementation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance warehouse performance through software improvements and process optimization.
• Assess new automation technologies and propose implementation strategies.
• Develop best practices for warehouse operations and automation efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, or Goods-to-Person systems.
• Familiarity with automated fulfillment technologies such as AS/RS, shuttle systems, Goods-to-Person robotics, conveyor systems, and sortation systems.
• Experience in supporting WMS, WCS, or WES platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in interpreting warehouse operational data.
• Exceptional communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Willingness to travel for customer implementations as required.
