This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Collaborate in the development of an early-stage startup dedicated to physical AI and robotics automation.
• Design, source, modify, and integrate hardware for physical AI automation solutions.
• Architect and construct robotics automation systems.
• Utilize Physical AI models to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency in hardware-driven environments.
• Determine the technology stack, software/hardware architecture, and roadmap for product scalability.
• Keep abreast of trends in robotics, AI, and automation.
• Convert customer feedback and market demands into technical specifications.
• Foster a culture that prioritizes code quality, ownership, rapid iteration, and high execution standards.
• Develop hardware-software co-development workflows, robotics CI/CD pipelines, simulation-to-real testing frameworks, and ensure compliance with safety and data standards.
• Work closely with the Lead Physical AI/Machine Learning Engineer to merge intelligent software with hardware solutions.
• Influence the company's hardware and technical strategy from inception.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in robotics or automation industries.
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in robotics engineering.
• Proficient in designing, prototyping, sourcing, and customizing hardware.
• Expertise in mechatronics, kinematics, sensor integration, embedded systems, and control systems.
• Strong foundation in hardware and robotics engineering.
• Experience in creating scalable physical automation platforms and deep-tech architecture from the ground up.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in both spoken and written Polish and English.
• Hold a university engineering or master's degree in automation, robotics, or mechatronics.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering, electronics, and mechanical engineering principles.
• Capable of writing code in specialized environments.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Physical AI / Embodied AI and related hardware challenges.
• Nice to have: experience in deep-tech, AI, or engineering-driven startup environments.
• Nice to have: industrial PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming skills.
• Nice to have: experience with 3D design and robot simulation software (CAD).
