RN Health Specialist, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the CDC INFO national contact center, which delivers science-based health information to the public, healthcare providers, and public health professionals.

• Offer advanced clinical inquiry responses both verbally and in writing to consumers, educators, and medical/health professionals.

• Provide expertise in medical subject matters.

• Conduct advanced database searches.

• Create documents, reports, and correspondence.

• Record all incoming inquiries.

• Engage in special projects as needed.

• Adhere to established scripts and protocols while navigating approved resources.

• Uphold quality and compliance standards.

• Complete mandatory training with 100% attendance.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

• Current and active RN license.

• Background in medical, scientific, or public health disciplines.

• Clinical knowledge of and experience with CDC-related topics.

• Strong internet search skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn and utilize various software applications.

• Exceptional listening, comprehension, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.

• Capability to work independently while communicating effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.

• Skill in organizing multiple tasks concurrently.

• Proficiency in speaking and reading English and Spanish clearly, professionally, and fluently.

• Must be fluent in English and the specified secondary language.

• Required to provide a smartphone, personal computer, webcam, and headset with a microphone; devices such as tablets, iPads, and Chromebooks are not acceptable.

• Internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher, or 50 Mbps for shared internet connectivity.

• Minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps.

• Hard-wired internet connectivity using Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cable.

• A private and secure work area with an adequate power source.

• Windows 10 or Windows 11, or supported Mac operating systems.

• Experience in Call Center or Telehealth settings is preferred.
