This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development, execution, and validation of risk segmentation strategies, which encompass adjudication, account management, exposure management, risk segmentation, and optimization of financial returns.
• Deliver essential information, insights, detailed analyses, and credit risk strategies that align with TD's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Research, design, implement, and verify risk segmentation strategies and policies utilizing complex datasets, advanced analytics, and business intelligence tools.
• Exhibit governance, control, and risk management practices that are consistent with TD's policies and standards.
• Lead or engage in new projects, workflow enhancements, service/application development, operational efficiencies, special project teams, and cross-functional collaborations.
• Enhance and develop credit risk assessment capabilities for both new and existing clients.
• Conduct thorough analyses and provide recommendations to Senior Management regarding critical strategies and ad-hoc inquiries.
• Generate regular reports on the outcomes of implemented strategies using quantitative techniques and Management Information Systems (MIS).
• Suggest methods to boost efficiency and revenue while managing credit risk effectively.
• Collaborate across various teams outside of the risk department.
• Liaise with Internal Audit and External Regulators to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date process documentation.
• Maintain robust credit control and proactive risk management in accordance with banking guidelines.
• Promptly communicate pertinent issues and foster effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in PC applications, particularly in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with PC-based analytical and reporting software tools.
• Familiarity with relational databases and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes using SQL or SAS.
• Knowledge of analytical or reporting tools such as SAS, R, Matlab, and Tableau is advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in data modeling and risk management practices.
• Educational background in business administration, statistics, mathematics, science, or finance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven experience in developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, and Python is preferred.
• Experience in Credit Risk Management is desirable.
• Familiarity with modeling techniques is preferred.
• Advanced data analytics experience is advantageous.
• Previous experience in cross-functional collaboration is preferred.
• Experience with artificial intelligence is a plus.
• A Master's degree in economics, finance, and/or statistics is preferred.
• Willingness for occasional domestic and international travel.
