This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Generate new business by engaging with prospective clients involved in boat transactions with MarineMax or its affiliated companies.
• Establish and nurture relationships with both new prospects and existing customers.
• Collaborate with referral sources to create insurance alternatives for clients and expand the business portfolio.
• Enhance Newcoast’s standing as a leading provider of marine insurance.
• Partner with carriers, sales teams, and management to ensure a consistent production pipeline.
• Meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.
• Develop connections with MarineMax and subsidiary sales teams and business offices.
• Interact with current and potential clients through telephone, email, and chat communications.
• Assess customer needs and recommend risk management solutions and insurance policy options.
• Keep accurate records of production pipeline, leads, and prospecting activities in CRM systems.
• Utilize dashboards and reporting tools to deliver progress metrics to sales leadership.
• Engage in CRM campaigns initiated by the marketing team.
• Enhance job knowledge through sales development training and familiarize oneself with new insurance products and services.
• Participate in quoting and placement processes for new business opportunities.
• Achieve growth targets for book-of-business and new business initiatives.
• Uphold renewal rate objectives and quality standards.
• Provide reports on pipeline activities, book growth, and overall performance.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and offer recommendations to insurance placement divisions and leadership.
• Foster effective working relationships with production, placement, service teams, and stakeholders.
• Enhance the integration between lead management and marketing automation to improve customer insights and experiences.
• Background in insurance or marine industry roles with a strong grasp of placement, coverages, and insurance operations.
• Required to hold a Resident Property & Casualty agent license in the candidate’s home state, with the ability to obtain non-resident licenses as needed.
• Familiarity and experience with Applied EPIC, CRM systems, analytics, and commonly utilized sales tools.
• Must be proactive, organized, results-oriented, self-motivated, collaborative, and technically adept.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Capability to influence others and provide leadership across various functions.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with clients.
• Experience and interest in recreational boating is preferred.
• Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills are necessary.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
