This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Facilitate comprehensive assessments of supplier manufacturing performance by conducting onsite evaluations of processes, equipment, tooling, flow, and quality systems.
• Implement readiness and capability assessments, which include FAI reviews, PFMEA audits, SPC capability evaluations, cycle-time validation, bottleneck analysis, and Run-at-Rate support.
• Perform technical troubleshooting to detect root causes of quality escapes, yield problems, and production inconsistencies.
• Maintain supplier readiness documentation, capability data, RCCA evidence, and capacity models.
• Aid in the execution of corrective and preventive actions utilizing 8D, 5-Why, and fishbone analysis methodologies.
• Mentor supplier operators, technicians, and quality personnel on process discipline, standard operating procedures, and expectations for problem-solving.
• Engage in program and operations reviews, providing reports on yield, stability, bottlenecks, and schedule risks.
• Assist in the development of early performance plans and enhancements to supplier work practices.
• Elevate technical issues, capacity constraints, and quality risks using operational metrics and foundational financial indicators.
• Adhere to EXIM requirements as per Command Media.
• Travel 50–60% of the time to supplier sites as necessary.
• Provide support to suppliers located outside the United States in the Arctic region, encompassing North America, South America, the UK, Denmark, and Scandinavia.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant prior experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years' experience.
• Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or a comparable technical position.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, SPC, capability analysis (Cpk/Ppk), GD&T, AS9100/ISO9001, FAI processes, APQP, statistical analysis, and/or Government Source Inspection on Raytheon hardware at the supplier.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is mandatory before the start date.
• A current Secret security clearance is needed from day one.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other precision manufacturing sectors.
• Practical experience with tooling assessments, gage R&R, or control-plan auditing.
• Exposure to capacity analysis, OEE evaluation, or bottleneck mapping.
• Lean/Six Sigma training or certification (White/Yellow/Green Belt).
• Experience in coaching entry-level supplier engineering or quality personnel.
• Capability to conduct technical diagnostics, validate process capability, and determine root causes.
• Proficient in analyzing operational indicators such as cycle time, OEE inputs, scrap trends, and labor patterns.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite at supplier locations regularly.
• Experience in supporting structured RCCA (8D, 5-Why) with measurable effectiveness.
