RHEL Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, version, and sustain a reproducible RHEL image customized to meet the requirements of the SCADA host.

• Take complete ownership of the SCADA container image throughout its lifecycle.

• Strengthen the operating system and images to align with a recognized security baseline.

• Diagnose issues across the full stack, including OS, container runtime, and application runtime behavior.

• Manage host-level networking and configure firewall settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of senior-level, hands-on experience in production RHEL/Linux engineering.

• Proficiency in container-native delivery methods such as Podman, quadlets/systemd, and managing container images.

• Expertise in creating reproducible, turnkey, versioned RHEL images.

• Experience in OS and image hardening to recognized standards (CIS/STIG).

• Knowledge of patch and lifecycle management for restricted or disconnected environments.

• Skills in automation (Ansible) and version control practices.

• Strong capabilities in Linux networking and diagnostics.
