This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Address intricate technical challenges related to RF and microwave systems.
• Examine RF architectures, components, circuits, and signal pathways.
• Implement RF engineering principles in practical system-level applications.
• Assess system performance, technical limitations, and design constraints.
• Detect erroneous assumptions, calculations, or engineering methods.
• Utilize electromagnetic theory to tackle real-world engineering issues.
• Investigate electromagnetic behavior, field interactions, and propagation phenomena.
• Review calculations, modeling outcomes, and technical premises.
• Appraise electromagnetic methods for physical and technical validity.
• Study antenna designs, configurations, and performance metrics.
• Measure antenna performance against technical and system criteria.
• Evaluate antenna modeling and simulation outcomes.
• Analyze design trade-offs, weaknesses, and limitations in antenna solutions.
• Assess RF propagation and channel-related engineering situations.
• Review wireless communication, radar, sensing, and associated systems.
• Examine performance limitations related to propagation.
• Analyze RF circuits, components, and subsystem designs.
• Evaluate technical specifications, anticipated performance, and engineering compromises.
• Assess EMC/EMI scenarios, interference mechanisms, system interactions, and mitigation strategies.
• Review RF and electromagnetic simulations, inputs, assumptions, boundary conditions, and outputs using tools such as HFSS, CST, COMSOL, MATLAB, ADS, or similar platforms.
• Evaluate RF measurement and laboratory testing methods, test results, characterization data, and technical insights.
• Review technical specifications, system requirements, simulation results, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Validate technical strategies against project requirements.
• Identify significant engineering flaws or unsupported conclusions.
• Provide clear, technically sound explanations and feedback.
• Practical industry experience as an RF Engineer, Microwave Engineer, Antenna Engineer, Electromagnetic Engineer, or in a related engineering role.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, RF Engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related field.
• Profound understanding of electromagnetic theory, RF engineering principles, and signal propagation.
• Hands-on experience in one or more areas: RF and microwave systems; antenna design and analysis; electromagnetic simulation and modeling; RF circuits and components; EMC/EMI; wireless communications, radar, or sensing; RF propagation and channel modeling; RF measurement and testing.
• Familiarity with HFSS, CST, COMSOL, MATLAB, ADS, or similar tools is beneficial.
• Experience with microwave or millimeter-wave systems, antenna arrays, phased arrays, beamforming, or MIMO is a plus.
• Background in radar, wireless communications, satellite communications, or RF sensing is advantageous.
• Research experience or publications in RF, electromagnetics, antennas, or related disciplines are a plus.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Work must be conducted without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
