Grid Services Engineer – O&M

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage the maintenance aspects of electrical switchgear and plants up to and including 400kV.

• Examine system alarms and deliver fault response.

• Assist in the execution of projects.

• Monitor planned and corrective maintenance activities.

• Oversee engineering operations on-site.

• Evaluate technical specifications for ongoing projects.

• Travel frequently to various operational sites throughout the UK and occasionally abroad.

• Work remotely from home or from one of Statkraft’s UK office locations when site presence is not necessary.

• Complete training and development in SAP.

⛳️ Requirements

• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

• Relevant experience within the energy sector.

• Proven experience working on the electrical network, ideally involving LV and HV plant maintenance.

• Previous SAP Authorization is a plus.

• Strong understanding of O&M work processes.

• High level of HSE awareness.

• Knowledge of high-voltage networks for power generation.

• Familiarity with electrical testing and analysis.

• Understanding of commissioning processes.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally abroad.

• Valid permit to work in the UK.

• Clean driving license.

• Eligibility for security clearance and authorization.
