This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Assist in the preparation of net revenue estimations.
• Analyze trends in fee-for-service (FFS) collections.
• Operate in a consultative role to identify and implement initiatives in processes, technology, and training to ensure the accurate and timely billing and collection of accounts receivable.
• Provide analytical support and develop tools for company operations, enhancing their capabilities in identifying both current and future performance issues.
• Conduct research on best practices and standards within the healthcare revenue cycle to aid in the standardization of goal-setting and performance monitoring.
• Develop and manipulate large datasets, analyzing data groups to support the development and implementation of strategies for process improvement.
• Possess a solid understanding of the 837/EDI process, including payer-specific regulations.
• Assist in auditing all electronic reports and paper claims, making corrections as necessary.
• Ensure the accessibility and flow of performance information to all relevant parties, working to prevent or address data transmission issues.
• Analyze financial and revenue cycle performance data to identify trends, patterns, and root causes.
• A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in healthcare claims, particularly in identifying insurance underpayments and revenue recovery.
• Highly analytical with strong reconciliation experience and a solid foundation in accounting.
• Familiarity with both commercial and government healthcare reimbursement methodologies is required.
• Strong understanding of hospital billing and managed care processes.
• Highly organized with the initiative to work independently.
• Knowledge of AWP pricing regulations.
• Experience in pharmacy and major medical healthcare billing.
• Proficient in telephone and email communication.
• At least three years of experience in data or financial analysis.
