This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Cultivate and uphold relationships with insurance providers.
• Retrieve payments from insurance companies regarding outstanding patient balances.
• Investigate and address problematic accounts as necessary.
• Enhance collections to meet performance targets.
• Recognize trends and conduct root cause analysis on unpaid and underpaid claims.
• Investigate, appeal, and resolve claim rejections, underpayments, and denials with the relevant insurance payer.
• Foster and sustain positive working relationships with clinical staff, colleagues, and insurance representatives.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
• Ability to conduct research and solve problems, utilizing analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in healthcare and medical billing/collections.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proven track record of resolving complex issues.
