Revenue Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of revenue account reconciliations, accounting analyses, and data validation tasks to guarantee the precision and integrity of financial reporting.

• Gather, analyze, and reconcile revenue data across various accounting systems, ERP platforms, and operational databases, proactively identifying and addressing data discrepancies, anomalies, and reporting challenges.

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including revenue reporting, reconciliations, and the preparation of audit-ready documentation for both internal and external audits.

• Create and maintain SQL queries, Python-based analyses, reports, and data extracts to explore revenue trends, enhance reporting accuracy, and provide actionable business insights.

• Collaborate with Revenue Accounting, Finance, Business Operations, Product, and IT stakeholders to facilitate revenue-related projects, new product launches, and order-to-cash processes.

• Contribute to process enhancements by documenting business rules, automating manual reporting tasks, refining data workflows, and bolstering data quality controls.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and practical experience with Python for data analysis and constructing data workflows.

• Basic understanding of US GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and SOX/internal controls, or equivalent experience with a large, publicly traded technology firm.

• Familiarity with data tools such as NetSuite, dbt, or Fivetran for creating reports, dashboards, and data pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
