Revenue Cycle Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collect outstanding balances from commercial insurance and self-pay clients.

• Continuously enhance revenue cycle processes.

• Oversee client business accounts, policy applications, and collection efforts.

• Work eight-hour shifts five days a week, with availability for extra hours when needed.

• Manage credit and collections activities associated with client accounts.

• Maintain the accounts receivable ledger and keep track of aged receivables.

• Stay updated on benefit plans, contract terms, rates, billing forms, and codes.

• Verify claim statuses using phone calls, websites, and other available resources.

• Document and suggest adjustments to client accounts.

• Conduct collection activities and follow up on balances that deviate from established norms.

• Coordinate collection efforts with external agencies, including court appearances as necessary.

• Consistently apply credit policies from admission through to final account resolution.

• Safeguard cardholder data by adhering to encryption standards, data storage restrictions, access controls, security protocols, and PCI DSS compliance.

• Engage in mandatory PCI training and regular security evaluations.

• Provide feedback and education to departments/internal customers on issues affecting revenue flow or capture.

• Prepare documentation and reports to aid in fiscal management.

• Take part in Revenue Cycle Team meetings and activities.

• Adhere to the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, mission, vision, values, and expectations.

• Offer outstanding customer service.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• One to two years of experience in healthcare claims processing and collections, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Proficiency in a Windows computer environment.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

• Sufficient written communication skills to accurately complete required documentation within designated time frames.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Must reside in WI, IL, or IA.

• Must successfully pass an occupational health screening.

• Must operate in a zero-tolerance drug-free environment, including marijuana.
