This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.
• Direct the acquisition of new retirement plan sponsors, specifically targeting plans with assets exceeding $50M.
• Formulate and implement a prospecting and territorial strategy to achieve or surpass annual sales and AUM objectives.
• Identify, assess, and nurture potential plan sponsors through proactive outreach, referrals, networking, and relationships with consultants.
• Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to finalist presentations, pricing, contract negotiation, and closure.
• Establish, sustain, and enhance robust relationships with retirement plan consultants, advisors, brokers, and other influencers affecting mid to large market plan decisions.
• Perform needs-based discovery with plan sponsors to comprehend fiduciary goals, plan design, investment strategies, participant outcomes, and service expectations.
• Manage a broad geographic territory, implementing external wholesale sales initiatives that promote revenue and market share growth.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, product, client service, core market counterparts, and consultant relations teams to support opportunities and ensure smooth onboarding and issuance.
• At least 5+ years of experience in Defined Contribution retirement plan sales and/or relationship management, directly related to the responsibilities of this position.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, or equivalent professional experience (4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
• Capability to obtain FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and Life & Health licenses within 120 days of employment.
• A confident and effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to engage credibly and knowledgeably with senior leaders, both within the organization and externally.
• Excellent presentation skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels through clear, logical, and informed discussions.
• Advanced relationship management abilities, including the capacity to work collaboratively with internal teams and foster trusted relationships with external clients.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50%.
