Retirement Plan Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Address plan sponsors' inquiries related to a diverse range of topics, including ongoing requests for plan modifications. This encompasses consultative services.

• Gather all essential information, assess the feasibility of requests, and forward requests to the appropriate specialists for action.

• Collaborate with management and internal support teams to investigate issues and coordinate responses to plan sponsors. This includes performing trend analysis on issues, response times, and other pertinent statistics.

• Create and propose enhancements to workflows and procedures aimed at boosting efficiency and client satisfaction.

• Aid in the collection, evaluation, and preparation of client information necessary for compliance testing and filings.

• Foster customer satisfaction through proactive and efficient service delivery, ensuring timely and effective responses to all inquiries from plan sponsors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s degree and 1 year of relevant work experience, or 4 years of equivalent work-related experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in defined contribution plan administration/management, with a solid foundation in customer service and relationship management required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• In-depth knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Department of Labor (DOL), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulatory issues is highly preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of TPAs, plan sponsors, brokers, and participants in qualified plans, along with knowledge of testing and plan documentation.
