This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Assist caregivers, participants, and retirees in managing retirement-related transactions.
• Offer guidance and support to leadership, participants, and retirees concerning pension plans, retiree welfare benefits, and 401k, 403b, and 457 plans.
• Ensure adherence to ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations as well as plan documentation.
• Accurately and efficiently process retirement transactions while protecting retirement plan assets.
• Address inquiries, resolve issues, and investigate problems or discrepancies.
• Act as a subject matter expert for defined benefit, retiree welfare, and defined contribution plans.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Finance, Operations, external trustees, auditors, and third-party administrators.
• Retrieve and analyze data for precise transfer and reporting to trustees and related databases.
• Execute specialized and complex calculations.
• Provide advice on coverage eligibility and process requirements.
• Coordinate payments and transfer benefit payment interface files to stakeholders and external parties.
• Review, authorize, and approve transactions, reconciliations, controls, and processes performed by team members.
• Offer backup support for plan administration, in-house recordkeeping, operations, and trust relations.
• Calculate benefits, establish and manage benefit payments, troubleshoot issues, assess eligibility, and process participant distributions.
• Investigate and respond to cases and escalations.
• Assess employee eligibility to participate in plans based on plan provisions.
• Interpret plan provisions, policies, procedures, and relevant laws.
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Degree obtained from an accredited institution; educational credentials will be verified.
• Experience in retirement plan administration or an employee benefits-related area.
• Familiarity with regulations impacting retirement benefits plan administration.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred: MBA or a graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another business-related field.
• Knowledge of project management, defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, systems administration, benefits administration, analytical thinking, operational decision-making, complex problem-solving, and coordination.
