
Retail Sales Planning Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the designated account sales leader to coordinate retailer promotions from the planning stage to execution.
• Assist in retailer merchandising and marketing efforts, which include endcaps, demos, sampling programs, in-store signage, and digital campaigns, among others.
• Oversee retail execution programs and field activities through third-party partners.
• Manage and implement retailer-agnostic shopper marketing programs such as reward applications, coupons, IRCs, community events, and various ad hoc opportunities.
• Handle the setup of new items and product onboarding across retail customers, brokers, and other external resources.
• Keep retailer price lists, customer contracts, cost change documentation, and promotional calendars up to date.
• Take ownership of retailer line review and reset calendars, ensuring all supporting materials are accurate and current.
• Manage SKU master files, retailer documentation, and commercial knowledge repositories.
• Maintain retail sales reporting, including the updating of the latest performance data.
• Employ automated and ad hoc analyses to guide shipment and promotional forecasts, collaborating closely with account sales leaders for monthly forecast adjustments.
• Evaluate retailer inventory levels and ordering patterns, promptly identifying potential out-of-stock risks or opportunities.
• Monitor excess inventory and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create action plans.
• Facilitate the retail sales team’s monthly S&OP responsibilities, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of forecast updates, review meetings, documentation, etc.
• Work in partnership with Finance on deductions, reclaims, promotional planning, pricing updates, and customer financial documentation/reconciliation.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain to maintain appropriate inventory levels and successfully execute customer plans.
• Work with Marketing on shopper marketing programs and retailer activation opportunities.
• Act as the internal communication point of contact for various ad hoc retail requests.
• 2-5 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
• Advanced skills in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred experience in forecasting/demand planning and S&OP processes and tools.
• Familiarity with Kroger, Meijer, UNFI, Whole Foods, Thrive, Target, and Costco and their respective portals is preferred.
• Experience with Looker or similar BI/visualization tools is a plus.
• Proven ability to leverage data for creating compelling business cases.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy.
• Willingness to travel 2-4 times per year for customer and Blueland team meetings, demos, etc.
