This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the Perfect Store objectives through the development, planning, and execution of Retail Execution strategies at retailers within a defined geographic and/or national customer scope.
• Facilitate strategic and execution meetings to foster essential partnerships and drive growth at the Meijer Region & Market level.
• Establish retail execution priorities by collaborating with the Customer Business Team (CBT) and aligning with the Perfect Store goals.
• Enhance transparency of retail execution outcomes to the CBT by communicating results, performance before, during, and after events, as well as critical insights at the store level.
• Partner with CBT and/or the wider Retail Execution team to create action plans for necessary adjustments.
• Lead communication and discussions with the third-party partner (Acosta) through regular calls to reinforce strategic and execution priorities for Kraft Heinz throughout the year.
• Provide training to Acosta in-store representatives on Kraft Heinz products and CBT knowledge, including product insights, playbook usage, competitive landscape, and seasonality.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders within the CBT or third-party partners, sharing updates on upselling opportunities and securing alignment and support as needed.
• Utilize data and benchmarking to identify opportunities and take action that influences outcomes, including frequency, coverage, response rates, training, or product knowledge.
• Relay competitive intelligence to the CBT and Retail Execution leadership.
• Promote a consistent approach and continuous improvement to streamline work processes, identify and share best practices, and achieve efficiencies.
• Preferably possesses several years of demonstrated experience in the consumer packaged goods industry or a similar field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated, highly driven, adaptable to change, and capable of creative thinking.
• Strong background in sales, finance, category planning, and/or analytics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on reporting and presentation capabilities.
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with both internal and external business intelligence tools/software (e.g., IRI, Power Bi).
• Capable of effectively summarizing complex information for upper management and influencing sales leadership to take appropriate action.
• Flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes in workload demands.
• Proficient in building internal and external relationships and earning the trust and respect of others.
• Demonstrates superior execution capability – readiness to engage directly and implement key initiatives promptly.
• Understanding of the broker environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
