This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.
• Enhance the retail portfolio and assist in asset and strategy evaluations.
• Offer expertise to finance and retail operations regarding lease renewals, store relocations, and related issues.
• Negotiate intricate deal terms for new site leases, renewals, refits, rent reductions, kickouts, and other real estate projects.
• Spearhead market planning for the North American business with assistance from the Head of Real Estate & Store Development.
• Utilize market data to identify and secure prime retail locations for Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics.
• Prepare and deliver approval packages for new site acquisitions and significant capital investments.
• Address issues and convey lease language to Facilities, Accounting, Construction, Design, and Retail Support.
• Collaborate with Legal, Construction, and Design to guarantee timely openings of new shops.
• Partner with Heads of Retail to develop sales forecasts for new and relocated shops.
• Supervise and mentor the Leasing Representative and future leasing-team direct reports.
• Oversee lease milestone tracking, which includes renewal options, notice dates, landlord audit rights, and termination windows.
• Manage a significant number of sites and landlord relationships.
• 5+ years of experience in retail real estate within the retail sector or as a tenant representative broker.
• Experience collaborating with both US and Canadian landlords and brokers.
• Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of over 200 retail locations and executing a high volume of annual transactions, including new leases, renewals, and renegotiations.
• Solution-oriented mindset that aligns with Lush values.
• Exceptional experience in creating and finalizing landlord agreements.
• Comprehensive understanding of North American retail real estate dynamics, including A/B shopping centers and street-front flagships.
• Excellent organizational capabilities.
• Strong financial insight with practical experience in evaluating site-level P&Ls and real estate capital budgets.
• Capacity to see the broader global perspective and initiate projects.
• Empathetic and supportive of team initiatives.
• Up to 50% travel required, including international travel.
• Attendance at various ICSC events.
• Preferred: familiarity with Tango lease management software.
• Preferred: experience with Google Suite.
• Valid passport required.
