Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Therapy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Accountable for overseeing the clinical, technical, and administrative aspects of the PAP Therapy program at the location.

• Responsible for the installation and setup of respiratory therapy devices (CPAP, AutoPAP, BiPAP) along with the provision of necessary supplies.

• Conduct ongoing assessments of patients and their equipment.

• Schedule equipment setups and articulate the clinical advantages of PAP therapy.

• Maintain accurate records, charting, and documentation.

• Ensure that demographic information is kept up to date.

• Supervise adherence to regulatory guidelines for respiratory therapist personnel.

• Train and orient new staff members in respiratory therapy.

• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Collaborate with office personnel on billing and documentation processes.

• Advocate for home respiratory therapy services.

• Ensure the safe operation of all equipment.

• Be available for patient interactions and respond to their needs.

• Provision of supplies and continuous assessment of both patients and equipment.

• Schedule equipment setups and communicate the clinical benefits of PAP therapy.

• Serve as a clinical contact for physicians and healthcare practitioners.

• Maintain accurate records, charting, and documentation.

• Ensure that demographic information is consistently updated.

• Oversee compliance with regulatory standards relevant to respiratory therapist staff.

• Provide orientation and training for new respiratory therapist personnel.

• Exhibit effective communication skills.

• Adhere to cost-containment policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with office staff on billing and documentation of services rendered.

• Promote services offered by home respiratory therapists.

• Ensure the safe and proper operation of all equipment before installation.

• Be available for patient contact and response to their needs.

• Work collaboratively with team members, including other respiratory therapists, PCCs, and various departments.
